Production Cell Workstations for Lean Manufacturing

IPS modular workstations are industrial assembly systems designed as part of a production work cell, supporting assembly, inspection, packaging, testing, or kitting operations. While a workstation may include a bench, table, or desk surface, it is the system around it — structure, storage, material presentation, and ergonomics — that defines its role in manufacturing.

Designed for Real Manufacturing Applications

IPS workstations are built to support consistent, repeatable production tasks where efficiency, ergonomics, and material flow are critical.

Common applications include:
  • Assembly and sub-assembly stations

  • Inspection and quality control cells

  • Packaging and labeling operations

  • Electronics, mechanical, or mixed assembly

  • Operator stations integrated into flow lines

Completely Custom — Built Around Your Process

Every IPS workstation is designed from the ground up to match your specific operation. There are no standard sizes or fixed layouts — each system is configured to support your workflow, space constraints, and storage needs.

Configuration options include:
  • Custom bench, desk, or table surfaces

  • Integrated shelving, drawers, and bins

  • Tool mounting and accessory rails

  • Adjustable heights for ergonomic positioning

  • Power, lighting, and monitor mounting (as required)

Integrated with Line-Side Material Flow

IPS workstations are frequently integrated with gravity flow racks and material push carts to create complete, efficient production cells. This ensures materials are presented at the point of use while minimizing operator movement and replenishment interruptions.

Key Benefits:
  • FIFO material delivery directly to the workstation

  • Reduced walking and handling time

  • Cleaner, more organized work cells

  • Scalable layouts as production changes

Why Manufacturers Choose IPS Workstations

  • Designed specifically for manufacturing environments

  • Canadian-based supplier with domestic support

  • Focus on complete production cell solutions

  • Modular systems that evolve with your process

  • Practical design support for engineers and CI teams

Our goal is to design workstations that improve flow, ergonomics, and productivity.

From Concept to Production Floor. How it works:

1. Tell us about your project

Share your layout, sketch, or bill of materials and our project manager will work with you to gather the relevant information to get started including your workstation dimensions, elevations and constraints.

2. Design

With your collaboration, our engineers will design or validate a custom workstation configuration to suit your exact application and specifications. 3D CAD drawings and renderings will be submitted for your approval.

3. Delivery and Installation

Our team will will deliver your workstation system fully assembled and turn key. In most cases your cart system arrives ready to be installed in your production cell. In some cases, we can deliver it in kitted form for you to assemble on site.

No welding. No fixed layouts. Built to adapt.

Built for Industrial Use

IPS modular workstations are used in production environments where reliability, flexibility, and repeatability matter. Each system is designed to withstand daily use while remaining adaptable to future changes. We serve all manufacturing industries including automotive, aerospace, furniture, electronics and more.
